Dr. Gregory E. Stone is Chief Executive Officer of the MetriKs Amérique/Clarity Assessment Systems LLC Group, and Professor of Research and Measurement at The University of Toledo. He is widely published in the psychometric, measurement, and survey analysis community in North America, and is a frequent international speaker.
Recent publications include articles in the International Journal of Testing, Educational and Psychological Measurement, Applied Measurement in Education, the Journal of Educational Measurement, Psychotherapy Research, the Journal of School Health, the Journal of Addictions and Offender Counseling, and his book Applications of Rasch Measurement in Criterion-Referenced Testing. His clients include the National Math and Science Initiative, the American Hospital Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and others.
He has worked in the area of high-stakes testing and survey research for 23 years. Dr. Stone was the recipient of a 2003 University Scholarship Award, and in 2008 was honored by the Governor of the State of Veracruz, Mexico as a Distinguished Visitor. He holds a B.A. from Shimer College, an M.A. from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from The University of Chicago.
His philosophy is that in order to be useful, measurement must be made clear, understandable, and accurate, and thus he is committed to the use of modern techniques and straightforward communication.
